haul and mini reviews!

Hello lovely, I've done quite a bit of make-up shopping in the drugstore lately, I felt my make-up needed a bit of a shake-up to be honest, so I thought I'd show you what I got :)
Revlon Nearly Naked Foundation- 120 Vanilla
I'm sure you've heard of this, everyone and their mother seems to love it and seen as my skin is being a little better than usual lately I figured I'd give it a go. So far I love it to be honest! Not a bad thing to say about it!
Revlon Nearly Naked Pressed Powder- 020 Light Pale
I'm not really a powder kinda gal, but Revlon was on buy one get one half price, so I thought why the heck not. I really do like this, it works amazingly with the foundation, helps with the staying power and doesn't look cakey!
MUA Cover and Conceal- Almond
I love my concealers, and when I found this one in Superdrug and noticed that it was far more pink toned than the usual yellow toned concealers (which do absolutely nothing for my dark circles) and saw no reason to give it a try. I do like it, and I have to say I like it a lot more than everyone's favourite Collection (2000) Lasting Perfection Concealer.
MUA Undress Your Skin Shimmer Highlighter
I am a massive fan of highlighter over blush or bronzer, I feel like I'm too pale for bronzer and get too much redness for blusher. I've been using this highlighter everyday and with the Revlon foundation I think it gives a really natural look.
17 Wild Metallic Eyes- Wild Nude

I've been really interested in these kind of cream eye shadows, I think I need to wear eye shadow more but I'm too lazy, so this (as I can apply it with my finger while I'm on the bus) seemed like the perfect option. I do really like it, it wears evenly and has minimal creasing throughout the day, I also love the colour!
If you'd like any full reviews of these products just let me know in the comments, and please do remember to follow this blog however you fancy :)

Revlon Grow-Luscious Mascara

Hello gorgeous :)
I thought I'd write a post today to let you all know about a product that I have been absolutely loving, the Revlon Grow-Luscious Mascara. I can't even remember how long ago it was that I brought this mascara, I think Revlon must have been on offer at the time because I haven't heard anything about this mascara. But lately I found it in my make-up draw and thought, well why not give it a go!
The Revlon website claims that the mascara "strengthens and conditions lashes for a longer and fuller lash look" and that "day after day, unique formula helps strengthen lashes"
And to be honest I would have to agree, normally I'm very dubious when companies make those kind of claims, but I didn't know about these claims when I brought the mascara.
It looks amazing all day, is really really build-able to make a more dramatic look.
But it also has made my lashes look a lot longer and thicker without mascara on at all. I can't say for sure that it is this mascara, because I'm never loyal to one mascara, but I've only noticed the change since I started using this particular product most days.

before with my very light lashes

*excuse the lack of other make-up but I was poorly when this photo was taken*
I absolutely love this mascara and I think I've found something that I will repurchase
Have you tried this mascara?
Or have you got another mascara that you swear by?
I'd be interested to know :)
I think Benefit They're Real Mascara is next on my list when this one runs out!

Revlon Just Bitten Kissable Balm Stain

Hello sweetheart!

This past year I have been very very impressed with Revlon's lip products (with the exception of their lip stain, bit of a let down), and I thought it was about time to mention my new love.

Although I only have two of these products at the moment (Honey and Crush), my collection will soon be expanding, just as soon as pay day rolls round again!

I am absolutely in love with them, but to be honest when I first brought one I was dubious about how long they would stay on my lips. So I did a bit of an experiment and turns out a blooming long time for a product that basically acts like a really really pigmented lip balm.

The pigmentation is amazing, and it smells like mint which is always a plus!

They are perfect for all times of year, A/W because they are super hydrating and S/S because you can either build them up for a more intense colour, or just leave them as a sheer wash of colour.

CRUSH <3 (my fave)

pretty pink with shimmers

deep vampy plum

oooooh so pretty!

Anyway, I lalalalalove them and 100% recommend them!
Ridiculously good price, and amazing value for the high-street!

F.O.T.D. and chit chat :)

Hello darling!

Well, if you're in England I'm sure you'll know it's been an awful day, weather-wise. This has made me immensely excited. Much to my friends annoyance as they've been moaning about their hair etc, and I've been giggling with glee at how much it feels like Christmas time :D.

Anyway, that's what has inspired today's blog, I only ever really wear bolder lips during the winter months. So, today when I woke up to the sound of rain and my Dad telling me to wrap up warm, I knew it was time to whack out the bolds!

Also, as it has been colder lately, I've switched to a foundation with more coverage; today it was the Rimmel Lasting Finish 25 hour foundation (in 303 true nude). Sticking with the good old Collection 2000 Lasting Perfection concealer (in 2 light), as I have quite a few blemishes lately, I think changing my foundation has freaked out my skin :(.

On my eyes I just have Natural Collection eyeshadows, from the duo Mocha/Latte. Latte all over the lid and Mocha on the outer corner blended in. I also have two more Boots faves on my lashes: the No7 Excuisite Curl mascara on to make them pretty, and the Natural Collection WaterGuard mascara just over the top because of all the rain.

Finally, the area that feels most winter-y to me by far, is the lips. I am wearing a Rimmel Moisture Renew Lipstick in Plumfull (440). On its own this is a rather dark purple with red undertones, however as I was at college today, I felt it needed toning down a tiny bit, so over the top I have on a Revlon Colourburst Lipgloss in Sizzle (046), which is a very orangey-red to bring out the red, rather than purple tones.
*Just a little side note, the Revlon Lipstick in 046 matches perfectly with the Topshop Lipstick Infrared which I wore together yesterday :).

The one time of the year a 17 year old can be a teddy...
ILOVEWINTER!!

Love you lots and lots like Jelly Tots :)
