review//Lush Gorgeous Moisturiser

This tiny pot of Gorgeous moisturiser has been my skin saviour lately, it came with the Hey Gorgeous gift set my boyfriend was lovely enough to get me for Christmas. According to the Lush website this moisturiser is intended to "revive and brighten", like all Lush products it's packed with goodies (like fruit juices) and has minimal preservatives. Over Christmas (and with my birthday soon after) a lot of rubbish, yet delicious, food has been consumed and my skin shows it, with blemishes, break outs and generally dull skin, this has just helped me look a little more human. I have been using this as a day moisturiser and applying it directly before my foundation. Generally throughout the day my foundation starts to look a little worse for wear as my skin becomes more dry around my forehead and chin, however with this little beauty that hasn't been happening at all and my skin as remained moisturised all day long.
Personally I do think it's a little pricey to buy alone, at £39.50 for 45g, however it is worth noting that the sample size is only 10g, I've been using it every day since Christmas day and I've barely made a dent in it. Now that I have tried it and loved it I will be repurchasing it once I run out. If this product does interest you but you don't want to risk forking out almost £40 Lush are usually very good with giving you a small sample of a product to try out first so don't be afraid to ask!

Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer- hardly perfection!

This is a bit of a controversial post I feel!
I do not like the Lasting Perfection Concealer by Collection.
There, I said it!
If you somehow don't know about the hype around this product, it's basically a drugstore concealer that pretty much every beauty Youtuber and Blogger seems to love for under eyes, blemishes and redness.
I've tried this concealer countless times, and both light and medium shades, and sure as sugar, every time I hate it.
It dries out my skin, it creases, it seems to highlight my problem areas rather than conceal and all in all, I do not like it at all.
It's not the worst product I've tried, but it's certainly not the best!
Do you like this product?
It seems that the vast majority of people love it, but I just thought I'd put my 2 cents out there!
Lots and lots of love, Beth xoxoxoxo

Superfacialist Rose Intense Moisture Mask

Recently I have been developing a bit of a face mask obsession, I blinking love the things!
I have so so many problems with my skin, dry areas, oily areas, countless blemishes, redness, darkness under my eyes. You name it, I get it and I hadn't ever found anything that treated all of them.
So I talked myself into buying a slightly more expensive mask, I chose a mask specifically for moisturising the skin, as it's the problem that bothers me the most.
I wasn't expecting amazing things if I'm being honest, I love face masks but as more of a novelty rather than an effective treatment.
But boy oh boy was I mistaken!
This product worked wonders for my skin, I think this (and a combination of other products I've been trying out) is what has cleared up my skin.
When it's first applied it feels as though you're just slapping on moisturiser that wont quite sink in right, but after leaving it on for a good 10/15 minutes (I usually just ignore the instructions and leave it on for as long as it feels right to), it almost completely disappears.
Once I've washed it off my face, my skin feels as soft as a babies bottom as the saying goes!
The nice smoothy soft feeling really does stay for a good 3 days afterwards, for me at least.
Obviously everyone and everyone's skin type is very different, but this product is definitely one that I will continue to use and has very quickly become a regular in my skincare routine!
Have you tried this product, or anything else from the Superfacialist range?
I've not heard much about the brand and brought it on a whim if I'm being honest!

Botanics Revealing Body Polish

At Christmas I got an absurd amount of miniatures in sets, as always, and personally I love getting presents like this, just because I am always quite hesitant to spend money on something that I haven't heard a lot of good things about, but miniatures mean that I have a chance to find a little gem like this!

I'm not the biggest fan of body polishes, I prefer a body exfoliator that feels like it's doing something, something with a chunkier texture to it, like the Garnier Body Tonic Scrub with sugar and fruit extracts (my summer exfoliator). Although having said that, I am also incredibly lazy when it comes to taking care of my skin and I will take any short cuts I can! I know it's bad but it's true. This product is amazing for that, as not only is it really really exfolitating without you really noticing, it is incredibly moisturising and when you use it in the shower, it foams up to bubbles under the water. Meaning you can pretty much shave your legs with one product.
I am completely in love with this product and I use it every time I have a shower (not so much in the bath, because I don't like sitting around with the beads left in the bath water) and I definitely plan on buying a bigger tube when I run out!
Have you tried this product?
Do you have another body exfoliator/polish that you rely on?
Please do leave a comment and follow if you liked this post :)

haul and mini reviews!

Hello lovely, I've done quite a bit of make-up shopping in the drugstore lately, I felt my make-up needed a bit of a shake-up to be honest, so I thought I'd show you what I got :)
Revlon Nearly Naked Foundation- 120 Vanilla
I'm sure you've heard of this, everyone and their mother seems to love it and seen as my skin is being a little better than usual lately I figured I'd give it a go. So far I love it to be honest! Not a bad thing to say about it!
Revlon Nearly Naked Pressed Powder- 020 Light Pale
I'm not really a powder kinda gal, but Revlon was on buy one get one half price, so I thought why the heck not. I really do like this, it works amazingly with the foundation, helps with the staying power and doesn't look cakey!
MUA Cover and Conceal- Almond
I love my concealers, and when I found this one in Superdrug and noticed that it was far more pink toned than the usual yellow toned concealers (which do absolutely nothing for my dark circles) and saw no reason to give it a try. I do like it, and I have to say I like it a lot more than everyone's favourite Collection (2000) Lasting Perfection Concealer.
MUA Undress Your Skin Shimmer Highlighter
I am a massive fan of highlighter over blush or bronzer, I feel like I'm too pale for bronzer and get too much redness for blusher. I've been using this highlighter everyday and with the Revlon foundation I think it gives a really natural look.
17 Wild Metallic Eyes- Wild Nude

I've been really interested in these kind of cream eye shadows, I think I need to wear eye shadow more but I'm too lazy, so this (as I can apply it with my finger while I'm on the bus) seemed like the perfect option. I do really like it, it wears evenly and has minimal creasing throughout the day, I also love the colour!
If you'd like any full reviews of these products just let me know in the comments, and please do remember to follow this blog however you fancy :)

Soap and Glory Kick Ass Concealer Review!

Hello there beautiful!
A while ago I posted a little S&G mini-haul and so here is the first review of those products. This was probably the product that I was most looking forward to trying, as I am always looking for the perfect concealer. Sadly I don't think my search is over with this product, it is good, but certainly does have its flaws.
Under-Eye Section (Step 1)-
It is quite drying under the eyes but with lots of moisturiser first it isn't too bad, just needs to be re-touched during the day.
Blemishes Section (Step 2)-
This section does work wonders, and I am very impressed with it. Best concealer I've tried for blemishes as it doesn't seem to make them worse.
Finishing Powder (Step 3)-
I haven't really used the powder, but I'm sure it's a handy extra for those with oily skin, however as my skin is so dry, I tend to shy away from powder.
Overall-
I love that this product has been developed with such thought and consideration. My issue with most concealers is that they tend to be yellow toned (for blemishes or redness) and so using them under my eyes is pointless.
But the fact alone that this product has a more pink toned section, really does balance out the dryness in my opinion.
I will repurchase this product when it runs out, I'm still holding out hope for a better under-eye concealer, but I don't think I'll find a better one for blemishes!
Hope you find this review useful!
Have you had any similar experiences with the dryness of this product?
Or do you know of an amazing under-eye concealer that I should try?
Lots and lots of love, Beth xoxoxo
p.s. you can pop over to this older post here to see pictures of the product :)

MUA Undressed

Hi there gorgeous!
This is going to be a little look at something I brought recently and got very excited about. An MUA eye pallet, which is supposed to be a dupe for the Naked palette I think, but seen as I'm broke 99% of the time I can't judge this (the new Undressed Me Too palette is supposed to be a dupe for the Naked 2).
But what I can judge, is how darn pretty all the colours are!
Usually in pallets I can see one or two colours that I will never use, however in this (and also the MUA Heaven and Earth palette) I can see me using every single one.
They range from barely there nudes to shimmery blacks, all can be built up to be more pigmented and it even comes with a suggestion on the back of how to use the colours.

swatched in order
I've used colours 2, 4 and 8 once already, for me and the boyf's Valentines date on Friday and their staying power was amazing, with only concealer underneath to act as a base/primer.
It's retailing for just £4, for 12 shades so around 33p for a really pigmented eye shadow isn't really something you can pass up!
Have you tried this palette, or the newer one?
Unfortunately my local Superdrug hasn't got it in stock yet, but I probably will pick it up, fallen in love with MUA palettes.
Let me know if you'd like a face of the day with this palette so you can see them on the lid :)
Lots and lots of love, Beth xoxoxoxoxo

Schwarzkopf Color Mask Review!

Hello gorgeous!
I did a thing I promised myself I wouldn't... I am sitting here with newly dyed hair!
The plan was to let my natural hair grow out, but the more I let it grow and the more I saw my natural colour, the more I realised it doesn't suit me! You can see in any of my pictures that I have dark eyebrows, but my natural hair colour is a mousey blonde and so when my roots come through, suffice to say I look a little daft.
It does now seem like kind of a waste, I had a good few inches cut off my hair to help it grow but oh well, I like it now, regardless of the shortness.
So when I went into Superdrug and saw the new Schwarzkopf Color Mask for £3.99, I had to have it!

I used the colour 400 Dark Brown, and although you can't see much difference on camera, I can tell the difference. I feel like it's for one, got rid of the last little bit of ombre after having it cut out and it also got rid of the red tones left over from purple dye.
It only took one lot of this product, whereas usually, as I have thick hair, I need two. Although it only contained about four handfuls (bearing in mind I have baby hands), a little bit goes a long way.
I do like this form of hair dye, I think it's the easiest I've tried (usual bottle dyes and the XXL Shake It Up) as it's really thick and is basically like a hair mask to apply. I don't know if it's down to the dye or the after treatment that is included, but my hair doesn't feel as dry as it usually does when I've dyed it in the past.

really really thick formula!

Anyhoo, I do recommend this product if you like one of the colours, however from what I can see the colour range consists of blondes and browns, no spectacular colours. Which  now I think about it is unusual for Schwarzkopf, but it is a good product!
Have you used this product?
Do you like the good ol' bottle method of at home dye (I find it such a pain and always get in a mess!), are you a sucker for a gimmick like me, or are you more of a "only at the salon" kinda gal?
I'd love to know in the comments!
Lots and lots of love Beth xoxoxoxo

first impressions count-- Effaclar Duo

Hello lovelies!
I've done a little bit of shopping recently *slaps wrists and sobs over spending-ban* and so I thought I'd give you my first impressions on some of the products I got!
First up is the much raved about La Roche-Posay Effaclar Duo.

I'll be honest I wasn't planning on buying this, let alone two of them, but they were on offer! Which, I know is my justification for everything, but it was a really good deal. At Boots the whole range is on 2 for £15, and considering the product itself alone is around £13, it felt silly not to buy it!

When I first picked up the box (and located the English writing, which was a challenge!), and read what it claimed to do- "pores are purified, imperfections are reduced. Skin looks clearer and smoother...", I had to have it! Who wouldn't want any of that?

When I brought it, I wasn't sure how I would use it, what it would really do for me, or even why I really wanted it realistically.
But based on first impressions alone I am impressed. I've been using it before make-up and after taking my make-up off at night.
Although I can't see any major effects at the moment, it feels like it's doing good if you know what I mean? Sometimes I use products and it just feels like they are sitting on my skin and not doing much, but with this it really does feel like it's getting in there and having a nice effect.

So there we have it!
I will be doing a updated review on this product when I've used it a little more!
Have you tried this product?

lately I love.. #2

Hello gorgeous! This post is all about...
(I picked it up in orange, my justification being that I will be able to find it in my bag.. but really I just liked it!)
I wasn't sure I would like this product, just because it costs £10.99 (but I paid with my Boots Advantage Card points, so 1099 points) which is a blooming lot of money/points for essentially a hair brush!
But oh my, how wrong could I have been? Foolish Past-Beth!
This little handful of joy (ooerr ;)) has really gone above and beyond my expectations and is well worth the money.
I have insanely damaged hair and whenever I brush my hair (wet or dry) it breaks like crazy, but I had just accepted this as "one of those things".
However now I realise that it's not, I can't pretend to know how it works (far too technical for me!) but the Tangle Teaser doesn't break my hair at all, doesn't pull and actually makes it a lot shinier.
I highly recommend this, I don't know what I would do without it now and it is something I will repurchase if need be!
Please do follow my blog (through GFC or by email if you prefer) if you liked this post and want to see more :)
Lots and lots of love, Beth xoxoxo
p.s. have you tried tangle teasers? what do you think?

I try not to be a negative 'nana but...

Hello sweetie!

blergh horrid :(!
I try not to put negative posts up on this little blog baby I'm making here (weird image I know!), but I brought a product recently that I hate. No nicer way to say it, I hate it.

The Maybelline "Fit Me" foundation.

Now, I am very picky when it comes to foundations and it usually means weeks of reading reviews (not all in one go.. that would be bad) and testing it out repeatedly in the shop. But a few weeks ago I was in Boots on my break from work, and I thought, well that foundation looks pretty, why not?!

I shall tell you why not, my skin has only recently got back to normal after using this foundation twice, yes I'll repeat that, twice.

The first time I used it, I was thought it was nice, nice coverage, nice colour. But it didn't last well throughout the day, and when I was taking my make-up off, it hurt, really really stung. Stupidly I thought it could have been something else and so gave my skin a break for a few days and tried again, exact same reaction but worse.

It's been all red and blotchy for want of a better description. I don't usually have sensitive skin, dry yes but not sensitive.

Anyway, I'll keep this a short post seen as I don't really have anything productive to say..

Have you tried this foundation?
Is it just my skin it didn't agree with?
Leave it in the comments below or tell me about it on twitter @LookLifeBeauty
Lots and lots of love, Beth xoxo

nail of the week!

Hello you gorgeous human being!

Today's post is something a little different, my solution to never knowing how long to try a nail varnish out for before it's okay to give it a review.

I did a little thinking, and discussed it with my mum, and we decided that to know if you really like a nail varnish/it's worth liking, you should wear attempt to wear it for a week. Then you can see if you still like the colour and if it lasts.

So that's what I did!

The first nail varnish I picked for this, was Essie's To Buy Or Not To Buy, the website describes it as "a lavender with shimmer". I can't really put it better than that myself to be honest!

nails just after painting!
Just a teensy point, I am aware that I don't have th nicest nails in the world, but I did only stop biting them (I had since I can remember) about two months ago... So sorry!

These pictures really don't do justice to the pretty blue shimmer when your nails catch the light with this varnish. Needless to say, I love the colour.

These pictures are from 6 days after applying the varnish (I used BarryM's topcoat when first applying, love love love this product absolute must have!). You can see that the colour faded slightly, more so at the tips of the nail. But generally it was perfect! I loved the colour just as much after a week of wearing it (longer than I have ever gone before with just one colour!) and I would highly recommend this.

However as it is my first Essie nail varnish, I will be buying some more, very very soon!

I hoped you like this little post lovelies, more should be coming, I had a lot of fun trying to stick it out with one colour for a week!

Barmy about Balmi!

Hello my lovelies!
How are you today?
the cute, ball-like lip balm that fits snug as a bug on your keys :)
Just a little review for you today, much in line with the change of weather happening before our very eyes!

As I'm sure you know, unless you've been living in a cave (...actually, especially if you live in a cave!) that autumn is very much upon us and winter fast on it's tail. And while if you know me at all, you'll know how unbelievably excited I am about this, it does bring sad news for one part of the anatomy. The lips.

Although they are soon to be blessed with the wonders of hot chocolate and Christmas kisses, they will suffer from the chilly weather!

I recently invested in the product "Balmi" from Boots, in Strawberry.
I'll be honest, I mainly brought this product because I thought the name was adorable and I was feeling like a bit of a change (I'm normally faithful to my dear Carmex). But boy oh boy I'm glad I decided to switch it up.

It tastes and smells gorgeous, and a feature that I first thought was cheesy and rather unnecessary has turned out to be very helpful; the key chain. Now, when I first realised that was what the small bit of string was for, my first thought was "why on Earth would you need that? who is reaching for their keys and suddenly thinks oh my gosh I need lip-balm(!)". Well, I apologise greatly makers of Balmi, it is very convenient! You always have your keys, and I used to take my Carmex with me in my make-up bag, which I'm not sure about you, but I don't always have that with me.

Unfortunately though, I do have one, and only one, complaint about this product. Although on first thought the fact that the bottom (which connects to your keys) pops out can be seen as an advantage, you get every single bit of product out of it. And the sheer amount of product alone is something to be credited. This does provide a massive downside, if you're bag is full of useless items that you in no way need in your life, like mine, and you often find yourself scratching around in the bottom off it (wading through the useless crap) for your keys, you grab them and pull them out, guess what happens to the Balmi? The bit of string and the end come out fine, the balm however (now somewhat exposed as the bottom is in your hand) is left rolling around free.

Having said all of this, the balm itself, along with smelling yummy, is super moisturising, without being a touch on the greasy side like some lip balms. It goes on amazingly under lipsticks without effecting their staying power.

Overall I would give this cutesy little product a big ol' thumbs up, I highly highly recommend it, especially if you suffer from dry lips as it really is a must-have product for this winter.

That's all from me today folks,
Love you lots and lots, Beth :) xoxoxoxoxo.

review of Herbal Essences hair mask

Hello darling,

*I'm writing this post on the same day as my last one (the Johnson's review), I'm on fire! So proud right now :D*

Why does everyone do an introduction saying "this blog is going to be about..." when it's right there in the title? Hmmm... Sorry little random tangent there :).
This is a review of one of the Herbal Essences hair masks, specifically "Hello Hydration" ;) hope you enjoy!

you can see where I've scooped out the product...
looks a bit gross but you can see it's been loved!
The whole reason I brought this hair mask was because recently I've killed my hair with quite a lot of dye. You can read more about the whole horrific ordeal if you like, I wrote a blog post (a hair raising experience) on it. Back to the point, basically after this my hair was horrible and dry so some definite TLC was needed.

I didn't pick this product myself, I had been complaining about the state of my hair to my Dad and he very very kindly brought this back for me from Co-Op I think. I don't think it is a product I'd of gone to if I had been shopping myself, nothing against the brand or anything, just that it smells like coconut which would immediately put me right off.

Just the slightest smell of coconut normally makes me feel physically ill, not a very nice sentence to be telling you, but true. Saying that though, I do think that this product smells in-bloomin'-credible. So if you've been avoiding it because you don't like coconut, give it a sniff next time you walk past it, if I'm wrong then sorry, no money wasted, but if you agree, buybuybuy!

Okay then, onto the actual product and if it's any good. In a word, yes! My hair was, as I'm sure you can imagine, so dry it would've been a relief to go to the Sahara. I know this isn't gonna sound like a good thing, and trust me at first I didn't think it was, but now my hair gets icky and greasy. Which, although not exactly a plus, does mean that my hair is producing good cleaning stuff and isn't as dry! I'm not saying that this product made my hair go greasy immediately. I just mean that instead of washing it, and it being just horrid and straw-like until I washed and conditioned the crap out of it again, it actually has the ability to get greasy if I don't wash it say, every two days.

It seems a bit premature to give this product all of the credit, however in the past my hair has taken a helluva lot longer to get back to this condition, and the only thing that I've done any differently has been this wonderful little hair mask.

As it's a hair mask, and not just a conditioner, it's usually suggested to only use it say, once a week, so that your hair doesn't get overly greasy. I do agree with this and recommend not doing it too often, if your hair is just naturally dry. On the other hand, if, like me, you're after a hair mask because you've dyed your hair a lot, or use a lot of heat on it (basically just if you need a little burst of treatment to get it back into a regular condition...) then just use it as much as you feel necessary. Personally at the moment I'm using it with every wash, however mostly concentrating on the lengths and ends, rather than the roots and not using an actual conditioner. Soon though I will be moving to just using it once a week, once I can be sure that my hair will stay in this condition.

Regardless of this though, I do recommend this product to everyone out there. I know there are other products in this range for other hair problems, like split ends and one for making your hair smoother, so whatever your hair care nightmare (oooh rhymes!) is, I'm sure you'll be able to find something.

Just a little side-note, I've tried to find this product to link it for you, however I can't find the right one; "Hello Hydration". But I've seen this product in supermarkets and drugstores such as Boots and Superdrug, so if you fancy it, I'd just keep your eyes peeled :).

I think that's everything!
I do hope you've found this helpful, sorry I couldn't link it but shhh loads of places sell Herbal Essences so it shouldn't be hard to get hold of.
Love you lots and lots like jelly tots! Beth, xoxo

review of Johnson's exfoliating wash

Hello gorgeous!

As promised, here is a beauty-type blog post again! *yayayayayayayayayay the crowd goes wild!*
A review of a product that I brought about 3 months ago and have been trying out for a blooming long time, Johnson's face care, gentle exfoliating wash

Now, first impressions of this product weren't good I'll be honest, I hated it. It's advertised as "gentle" and I'm pretty sure the way they adapted a regular exfoliating wash to be marketed as "gentle" was make the formula itself a bit more cream-y and reduce the size of the exfoliating beads, the beads really are tiny, they do seem like they won't work. When I first used it, for the first 2 weeks roughly, it just hurt like a naughty word and felt like I was rubbing sand on my face, not something I've ever associated with being "gentle" I'm sure you'll agree.

Although it doesn't seem like it, after the first few weeks I did grow to love this product. I'm not sure why on earth it hurt that much to start off with, maybe I just didn't use enough water with it, or my skin had to adapt to it, but it has become one of my favourite products. It works wonders protecting against spots, I tend to get them when I don't use a powerful enough wash, however since I've used this product I've hardly had any break-outs. &since it stopped hurting, it does leave your face feeling moisturised, not stripped like some harsher products.

I do recommend the hell out of this product, it does pretty much everything you'd want in an exfoliating wash. Seen as in Boots it's only £3.09 you really can't go wrong.

However, if you have super sensitive skin, then I would say maybe don't go for this, by all means don't be put off by Johnson's altogether, it is an amazing brand. Personally my skin isn't that sensitive, and it did really hurt to begin with, when using this specific product. If you fancy giving it ago though and think that your skin won't be too damaged by it, then do, it's hardly a massive expense spared if it doesn't work out for you!

That's everything I think! Hope you found this helpful honey :)
Lots and lots of love, Beth xoxo

a hair raising experience.

Well then I'm sad to say today's blog isn't going to be as jolly as I would have hoped, and it is infact regarding hair if you hadn't already guessed.

My hair has always, since i first dyed it, been a bit of a disaster zone, with massive amounts of colour build up. I understand this is my own fault, I know, I know but to be honest I've always been a bit obsessed with how amazing dying your hair is, one little bottle of magic liquid and you look a completely different person!

Anyhow, I'm getting off the subject here, before yesterdays experience, my hair was brown, with touches of orange and red with really blatant (blond, my natural colour) roots, I looked awful. Now, I've used "colourB4" twice in my life, firstly the normal strength and then roughly a year later, as there was even more build up again, I used the stronger strength. Both times that I used this product it just sent my hair orange, and I don't even mean that I looked ginger, it was ORANGE. The first time I really didn't understand this as I only ever dyed my hair darker, therefore there shouldn't have been any bleach, however I'm the first to admit that I understand none of how this technical hair stuff works, if you know, please do enlighten me.

Well, I felt it was time to finally strip my hair, of all this crap that I've put into it over the past 4 years of dying it, so I went down to Boots and brought "Decolour Hair Colour Stripper ". I must admit I was suspicious when I first picked up this product, as it says right on the box, Developed By Scott Cornwall, the "genius" behind ColourB4, however I figured this would be fine seen as it was a stripper and not a colour remover.

How wrong could one person be, not much more wrong than me is the answer to that. Right then, down to business, if you've used a stripper (feels wrong writing that on the interwebs hehe) before and it's been fine then I'm sure this is fine product. Easy to put on, easy to mix together, the power went a little bit everywhere when tipping into the bottle but that may just be because of my general messiness. But, the problem became apparent when I looked at my hair just before washing the dye off. The very top of my hair, was platinum blond, and the rest of it, you guessed it, was orange. This I really really don't understand, when applying the product the instructions did warn that the roots develop faster and so to do them last, which I did. It wasn't even as if it was just my roots that caused the colour change, it was a good inch and a half of blondness, my roots, although obvious were only roughly a cm. You know the feeling of just when everything that could possibly go wrong does, and you just can't help but laugh, well I spent a good 30 minutes drying my hair off and just laughing in the mirror.

Understandably I ran as fast as my ickle legs could carry my down to the nearest Boots (after putting my hair up in a messy bun to attempt and hide the ridiculous colour change), honestly that shop is my life saver. As I was stood staring in dismay at the many many hair dyes, as I really didn't want to dye my hair anymore, but c'mon I've got to go back to college next week, that was just not an option. So, I thought back to the last hair dye that I used that actually dyed all my hair one colour, and looked half decent, purple, maybe not the most sensible colour in the world but at the moment in time I really would just settle for having my hair all one colour without major patches anymore.

hiding make-up free face.. but looovely one coloured hair!

So, I used the Live Color XXL, Shake It Up Colour Foam, in 499 Violet Berry Burst if you're wondering. I had never used this formula before, although that make in particular is the only that has worked properly for me, and actually does leave my hair in relatively nice condition, considering I've just dyed the hell out of it. Literally the only thing I can complain about with regards to this product, is the fact that it's very messy, very very messy, as it's a foam that you just scoop out of the Tango Ice Blast type container. Having said this though, my hair is mostly back to a full colour, slight hints of orange are showing to be honest, but I can definitely cope with this state for a while.

Just a little side note, I usually need two sets of hair dye to cover all of my hair, as it's rather long and relatively thick, so I did buy two of the Live Color XXL dyes. But surprisingly I only needed one and all of my hair was covered.

That's all I think m'dears!
Cheerio until next time, love you lots!

p.s. sorry that the pictures are very bad, but I hadn't planned on writing a blog post about this if I'm being honest, little bit of an impulsive one this.
p.p.s there are no pictures for the products themselves as if you follow the links then they are shown there.

guess what... POP! did I make you jump? bet I did...

Hello m'dears!

Recently I've developed somewhat of a lip product addiction... It would be a real problem if it wasn't so much fun! However one advantage of this (not so) shameful obsession is that I can share my findings with you lovely people in the world of blogs!

The one product that I've come across lately that really has caught my eye, are the new ColorSensational Popsticks from Maybelline. The two that I've brought so far, and trust me I will be getting more, are 040 Crystal Pink and 080 Cherry Pop.

I'm sure you've heard all the hype around the Revlon ColorBurst Lip Butters (review to come), and I'm pretty sure this is Maybelline's attempt at a similar product.

Anyway enough rambling, onto the review! As I'm sure you've guessed I lalalove these lip products, in my opinion they're just the right mix between being a gloss and a full lipstick.

080 Cherry Pop, although here it looks more coral...
040 Crystal Pink, oh how pretty you are!

I do recommend these products like crazy, although looking at them now, I do wonder how on earth they cost so much (just over the £7 mark) considering what they actually do, but because of the formula I can see one lasting an awfully long time...

In my opinion though the range of colours and the actual colour, provided you don't mind a bit of building it up, really makes up for it, they are gorgeous. As far as staying-power for this product goes, if it was marketed as a lipstick then I'd say it leaves a lot to be desired, but seen as it's more of a sheen/gloss I think a few re-applications throughout the day is to be expected!
So yes, I've been rambling for a while, time to wrap this up! Overall, it's pretty, bit pricey but I think they'll last for a while, might have to re-apply at times but if it looks like your kind of thing, go for it!

Well that's it from me for this 'lil blog I think! If you've caught the lip product bug with all these pretty colours for summer then please do leave your recommendations for me!

Lots and lots of love, Beth!
